Beyond Anxiety

The thing I am afraid of most
is letting fear control my life.
I am to fight it - at all cost -
not to regret. Therefore I strive
towards the new, into the blue.

Anxiety is bliss' mother.
Conquer her and you'll discover
the loveliness that lies beyond.
Never are we to surrender
our courage to commit,
for our bonds are our anchor.
Devoid of hold we are but skit.
Seeming ironically cruel,
my life can be so beautiful,
that I am terrified by it.
